Welcome to the CSOC Training Unit. Please examine our training offerings and feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.
The Training Unit is charged with providing quality and timely training to Colorado Sheriffs, Under Sheriffs and all personnel employed by Sheriffs Offices within Colorado. Training programs include the new Sheriffs Institute required by statute each four years for newly elected Sheriffs as well as three Sheriffs conferences and two Under Sheriffs training meetings each year. A new responsibility recently included requires training newly elected Coroners each four years immediately after their election.
Additional duties of the Unit include the development and presentation of training programs for law enforcement management, first line supervisors, investigators, detentions officers, civil process practitioners and patrol units. CSOC partners with the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police to present training programs of mutual interest to deputies and police officers, and the associations work closely with the Colorado Peace Officers Standards and Training Board (POST) to insure that our training programs meet the standards of the Board.
Most of these classes can be offered throughout the state and we’re available to discuss this as a possible option for your specific training needs. Thank you for visiting our web site.
