Active Shooter

The Active Shooter class takes the participant from a review of building searches up to neutralizing an active threat. The class includes some classroom time each morning to analyze and review tactics, survival mindset, team work and other relevant topics, but its primary focus is performance-based training which requires participants to perform building searches and handle the situations encountered during the searches. Participants must safely search, select the proper tools to use, make quick and accurate decisions, communicate with individuals encountered, resolve conflicts, and justify decisions, especially in regard to any use of force. Wear clothing suitable for physical tasks and the weather, and provide necessary leather, lights, and related equipment. CLEAT will provide Siminutions weapons, ammo and helmets.

2 day CLEAT/POST course

Class limited to 16

The class is funded through a grant to CLEAT (a partnership of CSOC and CACP) from Colorado POST. Although it is free to individual students, CLEAT has committed a substantial amount of the grant to bring the class to your area. If you cannot attend, please use the disenroll link on your confirmation email to withdraw at least 5 business days before the first day of class. Failure to show for the class will result in a $200.00 charge payable to Colorado POST.
