Supervisory Institute
The Supervisory Institute (SI) provides participants a foundation on which to build their future as law enforcement leaders. Instructors facilitate modules on contemporary and historical leadership theories and philosophies, strategies to improve and polish communication skills, the prevailing human resource management requirements, a study of agency and individual ethics for the manager, and a thorough examination of the interactions between the community and law enforcement agencies and the importance of nurturing these relationships. Students are required to author various documents during the program, to give presentations, and to apply principles learned.
If this course is hosted by a training region, enrollment is open to officers from that region only until one month prior to the start date of the class.
